Might have missed a detail but you can figure it out. If you did it right, the music bar which usually indicates minutes:seconds will just fill up at a very fast speed and then the file will be wherever you wanted it. Double click the thing in the playlist to start 'saving' it. Select a destination location and hit start. Now right click the thing in the playlist and hit save. Now you'll have added that link to the playlist list, the video will probably start autoplaying or at least play audio when you double click it. (This works for more than just youtube btw) This is where it's less user-friendly but it's really not a big deal. While VLC looks complicated and non-user friendly, their guides are very clear and the reason VLC should be invested in is that it's actually very very powerful and does a lot more than you know it does.īasically, in VLC you hit CTRL+N, paste the link to vid/audio under the network tab. I'm shocked that no one has mentioned this since you guys should know, but VLC's native functions deserve more attention!!
